Here are some major changes in procuring student visas that will come into effect from 23rd March

1. Financial Criteria Augmented: Applicants will now be mandated to present evidence of savings amounting to AU$24,505, marking a remarkable increase from prior financial conditions.
2. Stringent Linguistic Requirements: Under the new regulations, attaining a Temporary Graduate Visa, a score of 6.5 is required in IELTS instead of 6.0. Similarly, for a student visa, the requirement will elevate from 5.5 to 6.0 band scores.
3. Genuine Student Test: The Australian government is set to introduce a fresh Genuine Student Test for all international students, replacing the existing of Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement. This test will now evaluate the intent to study in Australia of all international students who are applying for visas on the basis of course development, immigration background, and compliance with visas. 
4. Temporary Graduate Visa (TGV): The test validity period for a TGV decreases from 3 years to 1 year. The aspirants now need to provide evidence that they have completed their English Language Test within one year immediately before the date of the visa application.
