The University of Manchester (UoM) celebrates its academic excellence with a history spanning nearly two centuries and has announced a series of scholarships for Indian students. These scholarships will be awarded to Indian students on the basis of academic merit to help pursue undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) studies at the university. It includes the Global Futures scholarship, Humanities Bicentenary scholarship and Humanities International Excellence scholarship. Moreover, all these grants will be provided in the form of tuition fee reductions.

Angelia Wilson, associate dean of the University of Manchester, stated: “India is our strategic academic partner. Offering scholarships to Indian students supports cross-cultural exchange between England and India. The University of Manchester is devoted to social responsibility by offering these scholarships and world-class facilities. This will create a diverse community of students at the university."
The University of Manchester Scholarships available are as follows:
1 Global Futures Scholarships- This scholarship is open to all international students, including Indian students who are seeking admission at Manchester University. A total of 100 merit-based scholarships worth £21,000 (Rs 18,91,806) will be offered to UG students. And, 100-merit based scholarships worth £8,000 (Rs 7,20,688) are granted to PG students.
2 Humanities Bicentenary Scholarships- These scholarships provide financial aid based on academic performance and excellence in the application program. They are very limited in quantity. UG students are offered £2,000 (Rs 1,80,172) every year for their study at the University. Also, PG students are granted £10,000 (Rs 9,00,860) for one year of study at the University.
3 Humanities International Excellence Scholarship- This scholarship is specifically designed to support international students pursuing humanities discipline at University on postgraduate level.
