The students can change their course if they want to. They need to fill out a change of course form, which is available in the My Forms tab on the university's Virtual Learning Environment platform. The placement rate of ARU is more than 80%. Last year, 92% of the students of Anglia Ruskin University secured a year-long placement. The university has a dedicated placement team that supports its students in getting placements.

It is not too hard to get into ARU, and it is also not very easy. The university is moderately selective, with an acceptance rate of around 52% for the postgraduate and undergraduate programs. Students can face moderate competition while applying for UG or PG courses.

The standard entry criteria for the courses at the undergraduate level is IELTS 6 and a minimum of 5.5 in every other skill. The criteria for postgraduate courses is IELTS 6.6, with 5.5 being the minimum in all four elements. The university's language centre also offers some courses that help students achieve the English language criteria.
